Nutrition and nourishing ourselves is key when it comes to health and happiness. Good nutrition is needed for every single cellular function in our body. Without adequate nutrition and exercise our physical and emotional states become greatly affected. Good nutrition nourishes the soul as well as feeds the body.

Mind Body Medicine takes into consideration your diet and lifestyle choices, including the type of exercise you will need depending of your health issue.  Please remember health issues are physical as well as emotional.

It is crucial to make health and nutrition a good habit that is just part of your day – keep it simple.

5 key things to consider every day:

  • A good night’s sleep! You need to be asleep by 10pm if possible, between 10pm and 2am is when the body works the hardest repairing and rejuvenating
  • Filtered clean water  – you need 33ml per 1 kg
  • Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, and less protein preferably organic.  Don’t forget fresh herbs they are natures medicine
  • Movement – choose exercise that suits your body type and health issues. Walking is excellent for anxiety suffers 40 mins a day
  • 5 mins private quiet time with yourself in any form you like.  Example sitting looking at candle listening to sounds around you or feelings that come up.

Also make sure to treat yourself at least once a day! It keeps your emotional side happy and healthy.

A treat doesn’t always have to be food (even though a lot of the time I pick that!), it can be taking a relaxing bath, meditating, watch your favourite TV show, playing with your pet, whatever you like!
